Have you tried all the official sites yet
If you havnt go to www.blackislestudios.com and then go into the tech problem page and you should get a relitavly speedy answer ------------------

As far as I know EAX is not supported in BG2

I presume the sound is working and you just want the special effects because i have an eax card and it works fine

I never had any problems so it wasnt really a case of figuring out how to make it work, put it in, install and play i never had those hideous problems were you have to get seven differnt versions of drivers and patchs(none of which usaually work)

I have had my card installed for a year now and there is no difference with or without the card. If BG2 supported EAX it would say on the box.

Theres an option in the sound menu for:
ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIO its described as follows: "enable this option to hear environmental audio effects, such as echoes in caves. This option requires a sound card compatible with the EAX standard" |

For some reason i really dont like that site, it has too many know alls and ocasionally really evil people (like that SoB who put a link to pics of the last boss and it was a java bomb of gay porn)
That was both offensive and annoying but i like it when the developers (rarely) respond. That for some bizarre reason the same topics always turn im not talking 8 or so i mean about 3 the thing about the tarrasque meeting you mother and sarevok its weid ------------------
