A few days ago, one of our inter-island ferries in New Zealand crushed a fishing boat on its way to Wellington. The fishing boat was ran into and completly destroyed, and the two occupants killed. This is the second inter-island ferry company to crush a fishing boat.
Also, one of the ferries had an electrical fault while going through a channel. The rudder locked up and the ferry was left going around in circles for an hour, and almost beached itself. |

Sounds like they're having problems and should do some safety checks.
