The manual isn't clear and the procedure doesn't seem to spell itself out at all well when attempted. So, you have a dead character, but do have the magic powder, but can't "use" it during a current round (I suppose that's because the character has weapons in his/her hands, and in this particular case also because the powder is in the "party inventory" rather than in the direct inventory of any character).
But once I actually had the stuff in the character's "hand" (hanging on the mouse pointer), all that seemed to happen was to pass it over to the dead character's backpack! So: why is this so complicated? The manual doesn't say that it's handled in any strange manner! K.

To use any equipments or items stored in the party inventory, use the "equip" command instead of "use". Otherwise, try and issue the "equip" command to transfer the object from the party inventory to any of the member's personal inventory and then issue the "use" command in the next round.

How you resurrect a dead character during combat depends on where your resurrect powder is:
1) If the powder is in a live character's backpack, then all you have to do is click that character's "use" icon, select the powder, and click the cursor on the dead character. If you did it right, the ressurect action will be performed in the next round. 2) If the powder is in the party inventory, you waste a round because you first have to "equip" it on one of your live characters before that character can "use" it. That is, you click on a live character's "equip" icon and wait for the next round to kick in. When that character's turn comes around, you will automatically be taken to the inventory screen where you can now drag the powder from the party inventory to the character's backpack. You can now "use" the powder, as described above in #1. In summary, only items that are in individual packpacks may be "used" during combat; items in the party inventory have to be equipped first, i.e., placed in a backpack, before they can be used. Obviously, dead or paralyzed characters are in no condition to use anything So always keep reviving/recovering items like those powders spread out among your characters, otherwise you waste a precious turn during combat. |
