Isnt it great to hear a song you havent heard in a long time. Then you hear it and you get that speical feeling of delight. It kina takes you back to when you first heard it, or you wear doing somthing speical while the song was playing, and its almost like it shared that moment with you.

Almost like an old friend. Where you can talk about what you all have done. Of course you cant really talk to it. But it seems like that.

Maybe I am just a looney, but its pretty cool to me. Music is such a powerfull thing.

Very wierd - I just heard a song I haven't heard for years - Marrakesh Express by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and it took me all the way back to when I was about 10 years old and waiting for my father to come home from a business trip.........

ironicly, its about hearing a song that you havent heard in a long time, and all the feallings that it brings.
It always takes me back to a very interesting period in my life.

You are SOOOO right, Grand-Ranger.

I am a HUGE fan of '80's music. I finally left home to attend a 4-year college in 1983-1984 (went to N.C. State the season after they won the NCAA championship - that was cool).

There are several songs from that year that bring back specific images of my brief stay there.

Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler is still one of my favorite songs. Others from that year are:
Hold Me Now Thompson Twins, True Spandau Ballet, Karma Chameleon Culture Club, Uptown Girl Billy Joel, All Night Long Lionel Ritchie, the entire Thriller album, and Every Breath You Take The Police (and my first concert ever).

That was also the year that I was diagnosed with a chronic illness that forced me to take a "Medical Drop" from school (thus the brief stay) and has defined the person I've become since then.

1983 - A very pivotal year in the life of your friendly barbarian.
