Wh3enever my priest and mage advance, they get to pick one spell. Is there any way to get multiple new spells whenever they advance? In BGI and II, a spellcaster received a few new ones whenever he/she advanced.

Yeah, I think it also depends on level... for example, more than once now, my mage and priest had got to pick more than one spell (per level, think it has happened twice now), without me "saving" for them. It may also depend on your intelligence/piety (depending on the casting class). Not entirely certain off hand.

Good idea.
I have two bishops in my party. Both up to the high sixies in Piety and Intelligence.

Lvl 5 guys so there's lots to improve on.

That would be interesting if intelligence or piety actual increased there spell learning per level.

Hmmm....on another subject, how do the elite skills work?

Do they go up through learning as well?

I think it's dependant on your class... like those that need piety (Priest, Valkyries, etc) will get the extra spells when piety gets higher (again, not sure); where as mages and such rely on intelligence.

As for elite - I think they can be learned (through use? Have not seen it however), but you can add points every level.

You get elite skills when you reach 100 in one of your atributes. Power Strike for Strength, Power Cast for intelligence, etc. They all have one, except for sense, I think. My mage has a power cast of 50, and it really helps her pump out the juice!

There's one for sense I believe... um Serpent Sense or something rather? I can't recall, but I am almost certain there's one.

I don't know what you are talking about.
I played several party-styles, but never (except at character generation) got 2 spells to pick without saving one at last lvl up.
