Yo' wassup? Here I is... in the say-outh of thah Ewe-naated Staytes of America.
Sure is pretty-like. Lotsa trees. Frrom thah ay-er Nashville lucked like a foorest. Grreat climate, larrge houses wi-eth balconies and swing-seats on 'em.... jerst like a movie Ah saw once. Nice country you've got here guys. Well, there are nice bit's I've seen anyway. It feels a bit like Australias big brother or something. That is assuming Britain is the parent and Canada and New Zealand are other siblings. New Zealand would have to be the woosey little sister though eh? Joking Azurewolf, joking. Would South Africa be a half brother? I've had a warm welcome from the few Blacks that I've seen too. So much soul! I am impressed by the trees and houses here though, seriously very nice. Everything I expected from the American south. (Though it's fairly central Nashville is still "south" right?) Oh yeah and there are a few music companies here too. Does 'Nash' mean 'music business' in Souix or Cherokee or something? The computer here is very very slow, so posting will be difficult. Adios ------------------ I am the walrus!.... er, no hang on.... A fair dinkum laughing Hyena! |

I will not be insulted by your pathetic attempt at a southern accent (joking). Nashville is still definitely south. The Nash is more than likely the name of a family that settled there + ville, Nash's town if you will. You can tell the Native American names---long and impossible to pronounce.
Southerners are know for being friendly with lots of hospitality. Didn't realize you were coming over so soon. Anyway, let me know how to get in touch. You are supposed to have my phone number. When do you go to New York? Take care! ------------------ Order of the Holy Flame Member of Clan HADB |

Nashville = Nash Village perhaps.
A ville was where the peasants or serfs of the lord of the manor would congregate and live, hence the word village and hence the original word villain, meaning one (a peasant or, in the eyes of the gentry a low life ) who lived in the ville or village. ------------------ It's bleedin dark down here, slippery too. Man, that's a pisser. |

Welcome to the US of A Yorick! Have fun while you're here. The US really is a nice place to be, I think, but I've lived here all my life so my opinion could be a bit prejudiced LOL! Let us know how your trip goes!

Welcome to the USA, Yorick!
Let me know if you're passing through Texas. I'm in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Area, a bit west of where you are now. Good to hear you're having a good time! |
