Chapter 3

Ok, I get into the tower where Laural and the priest are with the optics machine.I killed the priest and spent an hour trying to roll Laural. I know I should have given the machine parts to the priest but he is dead now and I cannot revive him. Any ideas or do I have to start over, oh yeah, did I mention I didn't save it before killing the priest.

Do you at least have an auto-save from a point before you killed Larrel's companion?

CLUAConsole would seem to be your only hope - go to the ironworks cheat page for details. Basicaly it allows you to spawn items and NPCs into the game - if you had the right code you could create another priest to give machine parts to.

I dont have the code though, youll need to find it, probly with IEE (www.teambg.com) or a similar program, unless someone has it to hand?

In future think before you kill, and keep saves. Much easier than all this screwing around with cheat codes etc.

The CLUA console may work, but I have not run across any monster or NPC codes for IWD. It may be possible as well to use an editing program to set things right, but that would require knowing which values to change. Assuming that you at least have a save game from the completion of Dragon's Eye, it might just be best to do the Severed Hand section over again being careful not to kill Larrel's companion this time through [img]graemlins/blueblink.gif[/img]

The game should have autosaved going into that tower section so assuming you didn't run out of that level you can use that.

Try using the first six letters of the assistant's name with the Summon command, it may work. no guarantees though. [img]smile.gif[/img]
