How does one reach the xp-cap? I have only the final battle left, still I am short of about 2 million xp to reach maximum level!
I don't really have the money to bye 100 lv-9 wiz-scrolls to write in the spellbook, I find no more enemies... arhg!

And I have, of course, cleared out the Watchers Keep.

I don't get it either... the closest I got with a full party was to a little over 6.5 million per character.
what people are doing to reach the xcap is beyond me - maybe they just spend a whole day cutting through the slaves in the northern tunnels in the Sendai enclave

Well, you can get ALOT of exp in SoA before you move on to ToB. But it is a bit harder to reach the cap with a full party than a smaller one, of course. And IT TAKES TIME. =)

You could always half finish the game, export your characters out and start again. That'd do it.

Incidently now ToB is about can you get more than the piddling 2950000 xp in Shadows of Amn?

Put off killing Yaga-Shura and blow his army to pieces to pass the time. Leave, come back, repeat. Fire Giants are worth 16k exp, and divided by 6 that leaves little under 3k exp. Not much, but considering how many come at you, so you would need to kill about 120 of those to lvl up a fighter. LOL !

Anyways, you got lots of exp for doing crap. Like hey you open a door, everyone gets 5k exp. Sit down for dinner. 3k exp for everyone. Pick up a fork, 10k. I would rather not get as much quest rewards for little ones, if big quests would give something substantial, like several hundred thousand exp per party member, or a million. But it would have to be a substantial plot advancement, like killing one of the Five.

I know what you mean; must have killed some 60+ monks there and about the same number of mercenaries.
and then for some reason the innkeeper offered me about three times higher prices for all the armor and weapons I looted from the mercenaries' corpses. guess he was really glad I killed them all and thought about half a million gp would make a nice reward for me

Hmm... you can kill the duergar slaves in the place with Sendai... but the best thing to do is to get all the exp you can in SoA...

Don't play a full party of 6 - Lord Raptor has Viconia and Sarevok- just the 3 of them

Current group is party of 4 in BG2

Yeah since exp gets divided with your party the more people you have the slower you level up. Try having only 3 people and see how quickly you get to a high level.
