She'll want you to kill some men for her - and if you refuse (and survive battling her as a result) Garrick will join you if you ask him

thieves and bards in 2nd ed D&D both fall under the classification of rogue, just like fighters, rangers, and paladins are warriors, and druids and clerics are priests.
