This may sound completely stunned, but I can't get into the Wyvren's lair where Mandal supposely threw it. I've run around a bit, got him to show me where it was supposed to go, but I don't know where the enterance to the lair is. I can't find a single gap in these rock walls. Strangely, the sword Mandal needed was left behind when I went to check again. Is something wrong there?

You have to go back to the first floor...there is a river it doesn't look like you can cross, but you can. Then you have to descend a rockslide.

You need to go to the level above and enter through a collapsed floor to get in.

Afetr I enter the cave and kill the wyner, I stiil cannot find the mandrake root ! I already had Mandy showed the location !
Is this a BUG ? |

Don't know if you'd call it a bug...in fact I really don't know what to call it. I had the same problem. And I had to restart from save sometime before entering Dragon's Eye. Unfortunately, it seems that (in my game at least) if you kill the wyvern before you find Mandal (and maybe do the ghosty stuff) then you can't find the root.
Sorry for the bad news... And trust me, I know how frustrating it is.

Yeah, others have reported this same problem. Killing the ancient wyvern ahead of time somehow prevents the root from appearing. It really is necessary to have Mandal show you the spot before you kill the critter.
However, if your last save is too far back, you can always use the cheat console to create the root and go on from there. I don't consider this cheating, since you're using it to overcome a flaw in the game. |

I killed the ancient wyvern and had no problem finding the modified root. It may still be a bug though....
