Ray Harryhausen was the best at stop motion animation. Some of the films he did effects on were:

Jason and the Argonauts
Seventh Voyage of Sinbad
The Golden Voyage of Sinbad
Valley of Gwangi
Earth Vs. the Flying Saucers
