do not hit me, but I have a Yamaha 454 1989 series, and it is a great bike, perect or learning things you should not do while learning to ride one
i.e, do not rev the bike even a little while in first gear, one minor slip leads to one big slip, lol edit, but I really want a Jesse James customized Harley beautiful bikes [ 07-18-2003, 08:16 PM: Message edited by: Stormymystic ]

It was stolen but my last bike was a Kawasaki 750 H2E. They only made enough of them so that they could race them on the circuit back in the early '70's. The serial number was easy to remember. It is/was 0032. Now it is gone.

I'm with Johnny -- I rode dirt bikes in the mountains of Kentucky for years. My dad, my sister, and I all had bikes, as did all of the neighbor kids. We'd load them up and drive 5 mi. or so to hit an Auger-drilling machine road that went up into the mountains. Lots of great hill-climbing, off-roading, and mud-biking. I've seen a 250cc 3-wheeler get buried above the handlebars in a mudpit, I've had my bike roll on top of me, I've jumped off 20-foot cliffs -- ah, the good ol' days. If I ever live in the hills again....
For the city, I'm itching and longing for a good road bike -- GSXR comes to mind. My sister just recently ditched her crotch-rocket and traded the money in for a vintage 1980's Mazda Miata. Someday, I will burn up the roads again, I am sure. |

If you go faster (say 60 / 70 per hour) you can overcome everybody and have a free road before you, being able to respond best to anything happening. Also, those coming from behind will notice you and avoid you. Faster is safer, in this case at least.

Do Harley Choppers count? 1200+ cc is more of an engine bike than a motor bike!
