SpongeBob squarepants is great. i love that show. i also love Angry beavers which i think was made by the same people. both cartoons are just so mindless you jsut can't help but laugh.

i also love whiley coyote and road runner cartoons. just so damn funny. i know all those are really childish cartoons but..well...so what.

I have to say that for the best cartoon it would have to be Woody Wood Pecker. But for the best animes iam torn between Gundam Wing, Voltron, and Robotech.

I just like to clarify something, the reason I didn't suggest that the original Transformer series is the best one ever (maybe not the best but by far the most successful when you consider the number of differant series' that have followed in its footsteps, the movie, the merchandise. Yep Hasbro has made a pretty penny ) is because its a way of life, not a "mere" cartoon series

Best Animation

1* Trapdoor monsters and talking skulls, hilarious and sarcastic. Its an old british show with Willie Rushton doing some of the voices. A cult following amongst a lot of bikers for some reason.

2* Blinky bill a great childrens animation about a Koala bear, made by Australian TV. good for adults too.

3* Tom and Jerry The early originals only thankyou. The jokes are obvious and now totally unoriginal, but still soooo good. And in some cases more gruesome than "itchy and Scratchy"

Special mention must go to yesterday's south park episode. About a gay school teacher, his slave and a hamster. It was the only south park I found funny, so much so, I nearly choked with laughter and disbelief.

Best cartoon/comic

2001 AD the best, though as a very young kid I liked the old silver surfer comic. it was a bit to deep sometimes though.

the Fabulous Furry Freak brothers drug taking made fun. Adults only

"Tom and Jerry"

I agree but as Wellard mentioned "only the early originals". Forgot all about Tom and Jerry. Very funny indeed
