All these new feats?!?

Hi,

Just bought the game, and there seem to be a lot of new feats!! And quite a few you can only get at first level. I’m going to play a fighter type character will any of these new feats be a better pick than the old ones??

Ha ha...yes good point. Just got SOU.
Was thinking if I take a human fighter I get a choice of 3 feats to start with, should I use those to get the 'new' ones like Luck of Heroes and others to boost say my persuade skill, or go for Power attack, cleave, knockdown type of route...
As there are a few you can only get at the first level should I make use of them and wait a while for cleave?

There's alot of new feats only available at level 0 actually, so even try toggle/edit your packages to see what suits ya.

As a rogue I also took silver palmed for the appraise bonus, but since appraise isn't a fighter class skill it may not do that much for a fighter. Buying things cheaper and selling them for more is pretty useful in SOU due to the some-what limited resources available, but it isnt totally neccessary.

Also, I did get a few unfavorable reactions with merchants even though I had gloves of appraisal, a few points in the skill, and silver palmed.

I took a pass on silver palmed when playing as a paladin, As I thought having cleave sooner rather than later would be a better choice.

hhhhmmmmm....

Yes, I'm a bit under sided in what to pick, it would be good to get the cleave and great cleave really early...on the other hand thinking Silver Palm and Thug feats could be useful to boost my Persuade checks as its quite useful...

Also can someone let me know what 'Initiative' dose??

You know, halflings are supposed to receive this as a racial trait. I'm pretty sure they removed it because it was too unbalanced.. Pfh. While we're on the subject of game balance, let's talk about those elves..
