please help me with this install

I downloaded the expansion everything went fine only thing was it said it
was unable to create a shortcut no big deal. but I finished the final battle
again and the game ends not giving me access to the expansion?? Am I doing
something wrong? or am I supposed to not finish the end battle in the
Heart of Winter?? If someone could in-lighten me on this problem I will
greatly appreciate it

In trying to better understand, and I suppose you are referring to the downloadable expansion that you cannot access, I must ask, can you not find the guy in the town that asks you to do the quest? You find him during game play. You do not beat the end boss, then enter the next free expansion. Maybe I did not understand your question if I am off-key, and I apologize, in advance.

I guess I'll have to go
back into the town and find the guy

I thought you had to finish the
game and than continue from there. My attention to detail sucks so please
excuse my Ignorance
