Here are some new ones;
#1: The Rebels are unprepared for our attack. Signal Vice-Admiral Thrawn to launch his Tie-Squadrons immediately! #2: Alliance Leaders admitted today that any hope for a peaceful end to the conflict, had died with the fall of Europa. #3: ..am ordering you to purge this city! #4:” I need you to leave immediately for Austria. Infiltrate the party at the castle, and learn what you can.” #5: Goodbye Jean-Claude! Have fun playing Tic-Tac toe. (its been awhile, so this one may be a bit off) |

#2 is without a doubt Starlancer, and I think it's the dynamically-voiced News Reporter for the Alliance Conflict News. As for WCIV... um, it was more a case of turn on the invincibility mode, breeze through the missions, and watch the story... WCIV was more of an interactive movie than a real game. In case you wondered, I like space flight sims. Tanc

How about, "D'ye like me wee tail? I'll wag i' at ye."
Or, "Keep ye eyene off me arse, skull." "If ye don' quit bobbin' around, skull, I'm goin' to mount ye on a pike!" "Many a man's nose was broke by 'is tongue, skull." "Oh, I'm not that sort of a girl."

I shall do so.
1) "How about a snack, sire?" 2) "SEE? See how wildly I'm firing?!?" 3) "I am transmitting you co-ordinates for Hell." 4) "Go ahead. Lie to me! You'll only do it once!" aaaand 5) "I sit on my butt for too long, just 'cos some cherry can't hack it and gets killed?" As for Wing Commander... been playing WC since my old Amiga days. Flew my way through WC1, WC2, those dubious WC2 extra missions, WC3 (fun, that one), WC4... WC5, and again, those WC5 expansion missions. And Privateer 2, just cos I got bored of military service. Heh! Damn fine games. I take it you're a fan? Tanc [ 03-21-2003, 07:12 PM: Message edited by: Tancred ]

Played Wing Commander 3,4 & 5. 4 was the best, and 5 the worst. Probably because I just finished Conflict: Freespace at the time, which was a much better game. I really missed the ability to walk all over the ship in 5. Also, they really cut back on the cinematics, while the actual gameplay didn't improve much either. Tie Fighter was also one of the best Space Flightsims I ever played, much better then X-Wing IMHO. Though X-Wing Alliance is a close second. Starlancer was complete rubish, it really lacked in the story compartment. I hope Freelancer will do better

Edit; actually, I think its MythII. I don't think 3 was written from an 'I' point of view
Dead-on Accuracy Myth II it was ^_^ Soulblighter... That scene still gives me goosebumps... that still leaves: 1D: "Top Floor, Guns, Bombs, Keys to Super Weapons" 4D: "THE J'JARO WERE ON EARTH! TEN THOUSAND FEET PER SECOND PER SECOND!!!" 5D: "FROG BLAST THE VENT CORE!" Now i'll add one of my favorite quotes to the pile: "THANKS YOU TO ALL HUNTERS OF..." here's another quote from the same game: "RICO!!!! ... What? I didn't say anything..." [ 03-22-2003, 01:15 PM: Message edited by: /)eathKiller ] |
