What animal do you sacrifice in the underdark, and whare do you find it.
And what does kuo taos blood do?

First of all, Welcome to the board. I had problems with that myself (could not solve it) There are plenty of other members that know the answer to your problems..good luck and keep trying (trying again and again helps a lot)

Summon any creature and put in front of the statue.

Keep the Kuo-Tua blood - you may need it for a quest in the drow city later on.

Yea, summon anything and make it walk/fly/glide/slither/crawl/run/hop/float over to the alter, and it will die and like,

But if you kill those guys you get some really neat kit though if they are too tough you can just cast invisibility on your group and sneak past. Maybe pickpocket the good items?

The original people who played the game figured it out through trial and error. The rest of got spoiled by reading walkthrough and posts on this board.

Actually, I found out by accident on my first run through. I had a summoned creature with me and it accidentally walked onto the altar. Imagine my surprise when it disappeared in a flash and those demon knights gated in. Being unprepared as I was, and having fought running battles with the kuo-tuans beforehand, I think my party got chunked in about 1 minute.

I was going to prepare for a big fight, since the room kinda hinted it, so I put all these protections on and summoned a berserker with the horn of vahalla, and he walked up to the altar and suddenly all these dispel magics came flying at me
