Default Re: R.I.P. Frank Frazetta

Oh man we lost a great artist, Frank was the main reason I got into art and became an illustrator, I went over his fantastic art of Frank Frazetta books with a fine tooth comb. Studied his style, I liked the way he would use color, keeping the values but changing the hues. I found His art had a much greater range an invoked more emotional response then any of the other fantasy artist that followed him. They may have been more technical, had more acurate anatomy... but Hale that's what a photograph is for. FF captured the essence, the excitment, the drama, in his work. One glance at his Death dealer and you know what your fate was, Nobody could even come close to a battle scence capture the life and death struggle.

Rest In Peace Frank
