This sux. I uninstalled ToB, no prob there. Then a pic appeared on my desktop saying 'uninstall SoA'. Cool I thought, thats what needs to be done! But nothing happened, even the XP Software Tool wont work. So I threw my BGII - SoA folder out of the window. Inserted my BGII cd to install and guess what the smartass asks: "Play BGII?" SOOOOO, what are the required procedures here man? I'm totally bummed out here...

[ADD] For clearance: I can't install the game cuz the installer wants to un-install the game which it doesnt. So I'm looped here

It doens't work. I go there, the un-installer goes from 0 to 100% in a sec, but doesn't really do anything. Furthermore, the installer of BGII does the same thing. Its a registry thing I think.

hmm, i think it is in the registry problem. i think there are some software programs that could help you get rid of those nasty registry problems. try download.com and look(search) for a reliable program (sorry if i cant be more specific)

there are only 2 options i can think of:
1. get the software and deal with registry program
2. format windows

unless you want to leave it as it is.

if your really stumped you can try asking in the General Forum.

I think it is a registry problem because this happened to me with The Sims computer game and cleansing the registry of all traces of The Sims.

Got it!

At download.com there is a program called Uninstall Professional which removes the BGII key from the software registry.

The game is installing right now!
