I just read a crazy story in our morning newspaper (De Volkskrant). If I can find a proper translation, I'll post it here.
Picture this; an American 20 year old girl by the name of Kelley, was forced to join her parents on some cruise to an exotic location. I said 'forced' because she much prefered to stay home with her boyfriend. So, she thought up a 'cunning plan' (Blackadder style cunning) . She dropped a few notes around the ship with things in 'em like "I'm going to kill all Americans aboard". Her plan worked, when the ship entered American waters, 120 heavily armed troopers from the Anti-Terrorism Joint Task Force (or something like that) were dropped aboard and started searching the ship. About halfway through, she gave herself up. And indeed, she is now back in the US. Although her B/F may have to wait a bit. She faces up to 20 years in prison, and will probably have to pay for all the damage. |

A 20-year old should have known better.

How do you force someone to take a cruise? Belle and I should be so lucky!
Actually, we should probably feel sorry for her, because she is obviously suffering from maturity impairment.

Just to be the whiney baby of the forum today...ummm is it fair to call this the "American Way of dealing..."? Sounds like one spoiled little girl's way of dealing with things. (yeah at 20 I still consider her a little girl )
Are there no Euro-people who do stupid things? |
