Thanks guys!!!!! So sorry I missed you Javi, I had another @#$% problem with my computer. Windows ME is fiddly to say the least. I had a problem logging on to my ADSL network, it kept coming up with a Windows fatal exception error so I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my ADSL software. Didn't work. So I tried this famed System Restore tool that Windows ME has to try and restore my system to an earlier point. Guess what happened? I RESTORED IT TO WHEN THE @#$% WORM VIRUS WAS ACTIVE!!! So I had to go and re-delete all the registry entries, etc. and rescan my drives. And after all that, the bloody thing still didn't work. I finally got it working, guess what the problem was? The @#$% power cord to the ADSL modem had come loose.
It's pretty poor for WinME to lock up my system just because the power cord was loose. I don't want to jinx myself, but I've had more problems with my OS in the last 3 days than I had in 2 years of using Windows 98. I'll be eagerly awaiting Windows XP when it comes out. Or maybe I'll switch to Linux...I don't know. I'm downloading MSN Messenger tonight. ------------------ |

Oh Memsy!
What a royal pain! Well we all warned you WinME was not going to be so hot, so at least you were semi-ready for it. But to do all that virus clearing again! I do feel for you, as I know what was involved from my work pc repair. I'm putting in my request for your NEXT birthday to be much less stressful, dear! I hope you get a little 'down time' this week, you sound like you need it! Javi just had to go, he had plans he couldn't change, but we'll be around later and maybe catch you tomorrow.
