Dumb Question
What is the practical use of the cloak of non-detection? Thanks |

quote: the only reason non-detection exists is to counter spells like true sight and detect invisibility. never heard of a bug there. do you have an example of when it, ahem, didn't work? who was hiding and how, and what popped you out?

quote: Yoshimo hid in shadows and wearing the cloak of Detection approached Tarnor's mercenaries in the sewers. When he was in visible range, one of the mercenaries began casting True Sight. After finishing the spell they finished Yoshimo. After reloading the savegame I tried again. Same result. I checked it, Yoshimo died hiding in shadows. [ 11-07-2001: Message edited by: Ugaya ]

Same sort of scenarios as above.
Now, had they cast Dispel magic first, *then* it wouldn't be a bug - but they didn't and 'True sight' always removes the invisibility on the cloaks wearer... So I altered the cloak's properties myself to give the limited protection that it's supposed to provide... |
