No - There are no full-plate +1 in the game
spoiler - - - - - - There are two regular full-plates in the game 1. can be bought in the smithy in Beregost 2. on a 'bad guy' in the bandit camp more spoiler - - - - but if you go to x=185, y=2743 in Nashkel, you'll find a nice Anheg plate mail (use the L-key to find the location of the cursor)

- - - -- - - - Isn't the Ankheg armor the equivalent of full plate +1 and isn't Tamoko's armor Full Plate +1? [ 02-12-2003, 06:15 PM: Message edited by: Wilbur ] |

Ankheg plate is equivalent to full plate, but has a much reduced weight, think of it more as plate +2 than full plate.

There is full plate + 1 in the totsc. I am not sure exactly where it is but I think it's in durag's tower. I know you can get it by cheating. If you have cheats turned on I think it's like CLUAConsole:CreateItem("PLAT07"), maybe plat05. It's completly black and i must say I think it looks nice.

In straight BG1:
Two sets of Full Plate One set of Plate+1 (very lightweight) two sets of Ankheg Plate (also very lightweight) and a set of Full Plate+1. With ToSC installed: Another set of Full Plate A set of Plate+3 and another Full Plate+1. All of the above armors, with the exception of the plain Full Plate, are magical and will prohibit your wearing Rings, Amulets, or Cloaks of Protection. For those of you who like your characters to look snazzy, the Plate+1 is a nice steel-blue, the Ankheg Plates are green with little purple bits here & there, and the Plate+3 is gold. (My favorite--looks kickass with the Helm of Glory, Ashideena Warhammer and the Shield of the Fallen Stars.) Both Full Plates+1 are black. I forget the precise AC that the Ankheg Plate grants, but it's easily the best armor that a pure Druid can wear. (Sadly, straight Druids cannot wear it in BG2.) Full Plate is 2 AC points better than Plate, but Plate+2 is still inferior to Full Plate. That's because of the better AC modifiers that Full Plate taks on to its base Armor Class, which regular Plate does not. Try it for yourself: Slap on some Plate and check out your AC modifiers. Then do the same thing with Full Plate and see the difference. Forget about getting the Full Plates+1: Yeah, they exist, but they might as well NOT exist: The one in straight BG1 is so close to the end of the game that it's practically useless, and the one in ToSC is almost literally IMPOSSIBLE to get without cheating. I, personally, have succeeded in doing so, but only ONCE, and I had to use some pretty cheesy tactics to do so.

P.S. Naughty boy, ending your sentence with a preposition! ToSC SPOILER - - - - - - - - - - - If you really want to know, it's worn by the demonknight--but *only* when he appears on the ground floor. Can *you* kill the dk in less than 3 seconds? No? I didn't think so.

Six, I remember your famous battle with the Demonknight (ground floor) and it gave me an cheesy idea. I was recently messing about with the fight at the bottom of Durlag's Tower and on one occasion I killed the DK in no time at all. I walked up to him and cast, from the scroll, the Level 7 (Dark Side) spell Prismatic Spray. As you know this can causes massive damage, or even insant death, and mine did the latter. The DK bit the dust in less than 3 seconds, so I could try it out next time I enter DT - not much point with this party, I don't have a anyone who can wear plate armour.
