I was sitting here fooling around with some beads that came out of a sutffed animal, you know the stuff thats its beanie babies and such..Er, anyway,I noticed the design I made kind of resembeled a Tornado, and that got me thinking..Has anyone here ever experinced a Tornado? And if so what was the power of it? F1? F2? F3?

As for my experince, I have infact witnessed one. A few years ago..In about 97' or 98' I guess it was..A town about 5 miles northwest of my house got rocked by one. It was an F5, some of your from Texas might have heard of it, it as the one in the town called Jarrel a few years ago, it was all in the news. Quite a few people died, cant remember how many though. It as really huge, I could see it from my back porch, 5 Miles away, I could see it damn good too. Very frieghting..

They are really something else when you actaully see one. Its a very ominous thing. Very ominous. Dark sky, violent winds, and often violent lighting.

We have had some other very close calls..Funnel clouds coming down, but never quite doing anything..And I remember one time a few years ago there were clouds circuling right above my house, right above it!! Thankfully nothing ever came of it..

I have only experinced one 'touchdown' and hopefully that will be the only one.

We get a fair few small tornadoes in the UK, but living inland (the only flat expanse we have large enough for a tornado to form is the sea around us) I've never seen one. Thank goodness!

In the 21 years I've been living in NY, theres been one real tornado within something like 30 miles of my house. That tornado passed within a few hundred yards of where I live. I dont know how strong it was.

We get hit almost every year in Northport/Tuscalossa area in Jan or Feb. Which is only logical since Alabama in the trailer capital of the world. Mobile homes are Torrando's natural prey, since we got rid of the Indians and their Tee-Pees.

You're not wrong! When our ones come inland, they almost invariably head for the nearest caravan site.
