Well, summer has finally hit with a vengeance here in North Texas; we're topping the 100 degree mark for the first time. (Moni and RudeDawg, how are you faring temp-wise in south central Texas?) I've lived in the south all my life, and to this day, I still never have learned to love the heat. You walk out of a building and it feels like walking into a blast furnace. You stick to the seats of your car. It feels like you are slowly melting away. Of course, that's why God invented 7-11's and Slurpees. Maybe I'll live! |

EEEF! That's why I have central AC and I'm in the Northeast of the country!
About those seats, Sazzie, ever consider cloth seat covers? Sounds like sittin and sipping cold drinks weather to me! Well, the weather just reported a curent 86 degrees and a predicted high of 97 for San Antonio today but our thermometer (in the shade outside) reads 91 at this time.
Not too humid, it is actually a very nice day out there! I like the heat. Having lived in Tucson for almost twenty years something around 107 is tolerable so long as the humidity remains low. When it hits 110 and over is when I run for the fans, the iced drinks and the cool showers. Moni ------------------ |

You lot in the Northern Hemisphere are lucky. Its winter in Australia and its getting down to about 8 degrees celcius where I live.

Ramon! LOL Witty as ever, I see! Guess that means you aren't melting over in Germany? We've had the temperature in the high 80's and low 90's F for a week or so but our humidity has been pretty high to which makes it most uncomfortable to be outside.
I'm heading NORTH to visit friends near Lake Champlain soon. It's beautiful up there and a bit cooler, not to mention that they have a pool and a great deck to hang out on! Iced Tea and conversation by the pool...aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh now THAT is summer!
