WHere can I find some? I finaly found a small group to play with, and I'm working on desgining a character. I have decent artistic ability, and plan on drwing my own character, but I have trouble with poses and a few other various things, so I usually look at pictures to get and idea, then just elaborate. so, where can I find some Fantasy artwork and whatnot?

[EDIT: I REALLY don't copy the pictures. I will just use the same pose that the person in the pic is using, and stuff like that. I can't stress this enough.]

or, is there anybody out there who wouldn't mind sketching up something for me based on some ideas and sketches I have? I could pay upwards of $100 if it's really good, quality artwork.

[EDIT: ALSO, JUST ADDED: are you a writer? or can you at least write a few interesting things based off a few facts for me? cause, you know, I need a biography too!]

thanks

Don't pay for fantasy artwork, there's tons of it for free on the net...

I'm sure someone would do it out of the good of their hearts buddy. I would - if I had the talent that is .

I know there is, but I'm talkin about a custom work based one my ideas. I'm not worried about the money.

and SpiritWarrior, I'm sure there's a few out there who would do that. I would, but I'm not that good.

Click Here I have used "D&D" as well as "Dungeon and Dragons" and "fantasy art" as search terms to find a wealth of fantasy art.

An excellent Site with MANY different Art Authors is at:

http://www.aumania.it/fa_index.html

The site is laid out well, and all the Art is split up by Author.

Worth a looksie.

here's the main info (also for anyone else that wants to give it a shot), I'll send you a PM anyway. thanks

I'm playing one of two characters, either one I relate strongly to. They both share these same traits:

ALSO (IMPORTANT!): I need a name!?! I am SO not good with coming up with names! Suggest a few!

Physicaly, he's 6', about 195, well built but not huge, tan, dark hair about shoulder length, well trained for combat, around age 20. As for history, I don't know alot about the history of the D&D world, so it'd be neat (but not neccesary) if he came from a noble lineage or whatever.

i'm going to be either a Paladin, one who has slain a dragon or two in his day, a man who longs to be great, to be known and recognized, to be a hero, that kinda thing. he can be born from a rich or poor familiy, doesn't matter, you can take liberties with that kinda thing.

or a nuetral ('true') evil sorcerer, a follwer of Vecna, also wants to be world renowned, and will go to any means to achieve that greatness. Wants to be the greatest, most powerful magic user ever (what mage doesn't?). that kinda thing.

well, that's all I got for now, if I think of anything else, I'll just add it.

thanks

I'm a bit of a writer myself and perhaps I can help out in this area, but correct me if I'm wrong but if he had slain a dragon, wouldn't that be enough for him to be renowned?
