RD inspired me - so I am going to post the one thing I have a really tough time with... this is my poetry... you will never see me expose this again... so if you hate it, don't tell me!!

A dream
Of off-worlders
Of being curious
Needing to help a body of people

A vision
Of getting the message out
Of being on the Brink
Of changing our Timeline

A way
Of needing to be
Of being of service to others
Other than ourselves

A prophecy
Of materialism and greed
Of a Society
Bringing our destruction

A gathering
Of a few who know
Of a growing movement
To leave

What do you think about?
When the rain taps the windows
And you are wrapped in warmth?

Do you consider what we are?
Spirit and consciousness
And how you see through your eyes?
Your perceiving and understanding
Of the world around you

Or do you think of chores?
Your work, the next goals to meet
Are you wrapped in worry about money
And how you will eat next week?

Is your mind full of doubt
About what you can do
To make a difference in your world?
Do you imagine that everyone knows
How you feel inside
Inadequate and Alone?

Do you contemplate world hunger?
How one voice can be Mother Theresa
Or Ghandi
What one can do to raise awareness
Of other global matters?

Or is your mind in your wardrobe?
What to wear for the next event
How to impress your date
And how you can make yourself important
In Your Eyes

Are you in the moment?
Or far away in another time or place?
Can you express the depth of emotion
Of what is in your heart
Or what your higher soul speaks of?

Aye, Dawg and Zeke75 have made me decide to do something. I know nothing may come of it, but I felt its necessary to make my feelings known with a friend of mine. It matters not what the result, but I feel better that it should be at least spoken. I plan on getting a gift then putting this in the card. Sorry about the blatant syrupy dramaticism/rhyming. If you feel the need to expung your breakfast/lunch, please, by all means, do so:


Why must I be apart
from others who gladly
garner the gift
to seize a love
or a life

while must others not
suffer my strife
why must they be above
in finding the favor
of a secret heart?

But within these lines
I must impart
behind the lies
that I abhore
what I adore
