I hate to bring a sad note to the forum, after all this is a place where we like to have fun.

Unfortunately my wonderful wife is in the hospital having undergone brain surgery. At least one more will be necessary before she is allowed to come home, possibly more. Brain surgery being what it is, is an awfully tricky business. Anything can happen. Theres also the very deadly possibility that infection can set in even if the surgery doesnt kill her.

As you can understand I, and the rest of our family (8 children), are scared sh*tless. Shes a wonderful person and anyone that meets her loves her. Shes got amazing character. My life has been enriched beyond measure simply by having known her. Having the honor of being her husband has been a gift from God. She is the love of my life and the Heart of my heart.

Seeing her in the hospital after the operation tore at the core of my soul. Im a grown man and I bawled like a baby. Ive never been so scared for anyone in my life. Not even for myself when I was shot in the chest.

Since our marriage in May of 2000, I havent really identified myself as an individual, but as her husband and the father of our children.

I dont want to have to explain to our sixteen month old baby daughter what happened to her mother. Any prayers offered would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone is interested in sending her a greeting card my email address is earthdog_65@hotmail.com I would happily print any words of encouragement and take them to her and read them aloud.

Im normally not the kind of person to ask anyone for anything, rather, Im the first person to offer help to someone in need. I need help. Please offer a prayer. I have never met a sweeter more loving person and we will gladly take all the help we can get.

Hopefully she will be able to come home after this next operation and live a normal life. Hopefully there wont be another operation after this one. There are just too many things to hope for in this case.

Prayers are welcome, and appreciated. Truly appreciated.

Sorry to ruin the party folks.

Oh my God.... words fail me, Earthdog - I'm so sorry. Of course you and your wife and children will be in my prayers and thoughts. Could you please tell us your wife's name for the cards?

Just try to hang in there, there's a lot of people here caring and praying.

OMG, Earthdog, I am so sorry! Prayers to her are sent! I hope she comes through this well, and recovers quickly.

God, it's so scary to think of something like this happening to anyone. I am sure I'm not alone here in saying that I feel deeply for her, and YOU! I understand the ripping soul feeling--My Mom died of Lung cancer and she was diagnosed in Aug 2001, and did have many good days until Feb 22, 2002, and it's so weird, I keep thinking "This time last year, Mom was here and doing ok". It's a feeling you just gotta 'feel', or it'll eat at you forever.

In you Wife's case, I hope she pulls through quickly--what was she having the Brain surgery for, just curious. If you don't wish to talk about it, I totally understand.

Again, I will Pray for your Wife.
