Start by teaching him to dress himself, then tie his own shoes, then feed himself. Work your way up to cable. Go slow so as not to confuse the poor fellow. When you get to programming the VCR, let me know so you can show me too. Hehe!

I'd say wrap him up in a mattress and stuff him under the bed

PS: I'm having exams next week too Epona - A-Levels right? Or are you doing something different? (So I need luck too! )

My family ensure that they're always a 3-metre radius between any distracting activity and my resting place - since I tend to get a bit grumpy too about disturbance.

Oh, ye gods, Epona!

I'm so glad I no longer have roomies (my wife doesn't count!) What a dolt! Takes me back to my college days when I was ready to bash my pot-smokin' roomie over the head with my alarm clock for not being able to figure anything out and bugging me about it while I was preparing term papers!!

Hm...I'm sure you can get QUITE creative with the punishments. You have carte blanche to do this, you know!

Let us know how it turns out...and how your exams go! Best wishes.

Like caleb said though, he probably just needed some attention. It is just a bad way to go about getting it. I am sure he must be a good guy in general though to be with someone like you.

Wow this is a milestone in history. Someone agreed with my opinion. Yup your bf is just needy

You'll be pleased to hear (and I certainly was) that the TV was fixed after a phone call to get our signal put back on after an overnight fault.

I may have sounded a bit harsh earlier, he is a wonderful man in many respects, but is one of those terribly intelligent yet slightly eccentric and totally impractical people. Can converse for hours about politics, philosophy and art, tells brilliantly funny stories, yet has trouble using the timer on the VCR (bf: "it has a timer?").

I should be flattered that if something doesn't work I am the person he thinks of asking. It just shows that as far as he is concerned there is nothing that I cannot fix! Also if he ever wants information about anything I am the person he asks because he assumes I am likely to know the answer. I don't really think it was attention he was after on this occasion, he was in a state of panic because the remote control did not do its usual job!

DONUT!!!: You ARE seeking attention. Report your own cable faults! Or I will try Memnochs frying pan suggestion!

Wah, good luck in your exams. I am doing my finals, it will all be over soon!

Yes, I definitely think that he was being unreasonable. If that was my brother, I would've bobbed him over the head a few times. Looks like I have something to look forward to when I go off to college. Yay!!!
