I am going to get a new mouse to replace my current crappy one. Should I get an optical or ball mouse? I have heard alot of opinions on both of these.

I went with optical,so far it,s been great. It doesn,t have nearly the problems rolling over coffee and food scraps my old roller mouse had.
Unless your one of those people who doesn,t eat and sleep at their keyboard that is.Just wondering, what problems have you heard about the optical style mouse?

My next mouse will be an optical one. I've heard nothing bad, and I hate the ball!

Optical, far better, no need to clean it at all and it doesn't sometimes get "stuck" like ball mice do, also, optical ones are just as good as ball ones for FPS gaming.... I can frag ANYONE if my lag is okay even though I've got an optical mouse.

That,s what I thought. From what I,ve read the optical are more responsive and more precise. As long as you dial them in how you like them, sensitivity wise I mean, they should definately out-perform their little brother.
