i took a class on the psychology of photography, that stuff is pretty cool. For the brief scientific version, its just the memory of your retinas pretty much and the negative image of what you were looking at shows up.

Its quite good. But there are many others out there. I particularly like the one on ebaumsworld, when you are concentrating really hard when suddenly a big woman pops out and screams. Quite scary! [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img]
