Wow! It's been a long time since I was able to listen to the IW radio. I'm off to download Winamp. Then I'll turn these crappy speakers to max volume and open my office door. *giggles* OK I may have to keep the volume low.

Link, I know I am . At my old job there was an oncologist who always had a radio on in the background during operations. Nothing like that here. We have our trusted "machine that says *bing*".
Z, you do know we won't hold a grudge if you disconnect your server during thunderstorms don't you? |

I usually DO!! It's just that there was zero rain, thunder ect. It was just like "BAM!" and our TV went white, I nearly shit THEN, because projector TV's are extremely fragile to overloads.
Anyway, the Soundblaster Audigy1 still works so far, but 1 output is dead, and 1 fan is dead and as I said, it must have hurt the second 40GB HD too. Thank the gods I backed up!

So you do disconnect you server during thunderstorms? I always thought you left it running since it seems to be up all the time. If you are worried about the fan and the temperature in your computer, download a little program called 'Speed fan' that monitors the computer's temperature. I used it to figure out why one of my old hard drives broke down. The temperature at the hdd was 76 degrees Celsius. Is your TV totally busted?
