I have played the game numerous times without cheats, with built in cheats, with editors, exp cap removers, just wanted to play around with these other programs to have some more fun. I prefer to play the game without cheating. It makes the game more challenging. In fact for shits and giggles I played with the weakest character I could roll naturally just to see if I could complete the game with this sorry sack, but after the umpteenth time I just wanted to change up the experience and see what some of my NPCs were capable of doing with higher attribute scores. Especially my mages with a Higher intelligence and Jaheira with a higher wisdom.

I am kinda of curious why you think the "infinity thing is a load of crap".

Infinity Explorer allows you to extract images, view items, characters, etc.
Shadowcheater allows you to edit save games and modify virtually all aspects of your character.

I must disagree Shadow keeper does not necessarily ruin the game, I played the game once straight, missed a lot of stuff and pretty much stuck to the main plot. My next game I played multiplayer by myself, now I can have a kensai, monk, archer, etc all at the same time too kewl. It's how you use shadowkeeper that makes the difference, yes you can destroy the game but I find its more enjoyable if you don't have to reload a ton of times but still have great battles. The way I use it is to give my characters a 2 or 3 level boost at the start of the game and a 10-20 point addition to base hit points. Beleive me this doesn't stop you from dying and doesn't let you blast through things, come to think of it it might work out the same as turning down the difficultiy level. I agree that you must be careful with it though nothing sucks more than an rpg that you walk through and finish in a few days.

Yes I agree with Zorgoth, it totally depends on what you use Shadowkeeper for. After all, it won't do anything to your game by itself, YOU are the one controlling it. I have used it only to raise Jaheira's wisdom by a few points as it is quite low, to increase Jan's strength for the same reason, and when I played as a sorceror first, I had no idea of the importance of the spells you initially choose, so I changed Find Familiar (which you should cast from a scroll instead of letting it take up on of your 1st level slots) to something else. These in my opinion small changes have not made me some sort of godlike tank ploughing through the game in minutes, but rather they have taken away some minor annoyances of the game, thus actually INCREASING the game's enjoyability!

The first step to cheating is to accept that.

Having done that, create a billion liches and have you cleric armed with loads of sunrays.

RESULT: Where on earth did they come from?

Er,.................no one look at me!!!

Khellendros, why bother? I stopped replying to posts that have no facts or logic to back them up.
