I've downloaded a couple of nice little house-mods, especially the ones from morrowind abodes. Now, I sort of hate to just live in them, it feels more realistic if I had to buy one. A nice challenge, too, to save up.

Obviously, I can't actually pay onyone for the house, but I CAN just drop the gold in some nameless container.

Right, question: How much do you think it would cost to buy a home in Vardenfell? Any and all ideas welcome...if there WHERE estate agents, would they accept barter...say a few daedric longswords, gems, etc.?

Thanks,
theGrimm

(For those who've used Morrowind abodes, I will most likely use the ones in Suran, Vivec, and Balmora...)

Well of Course dependes on the type of house that u want but a 1 or 2 room shanty i would estimate being worth 60-80grand..

Why dont you base it off realestate prices in the real world like a nice size hame would be 200-400 thousand and perhaps the if you downloaded the plugin im thinking of where u get yourself a nice new castle even more ...Just a sugestion

If you get one of the banking mods around, they also act as an estate agents and you can buy real estate from them (houses that the mod adds as well). I picked up a nice waterfront house in Suran for about 70,000. It has one bedroom, one small room downstairs and a balcony with some dancers.

I've heard that one of the housing mod, the one that add a floating residence in Balmora. You have to pay to get that house.

Think about this: you arrive in the country with a few clothes, no skills to speak of, a recently parroled convict.

With a little hard work, you'll be a millionaire in just a few months.

Since an ex-con in our society would have to work at least 10 years to be able to buy a home, I'm thinking Morrowind houses should be in the 20 million range...

Also remember that by the time you have 30 grand that's "wealth beyond measure" and when you loot the house of some random they have about 10GP to their name. So either houses cost an awful lot less than we think or they built their houses themselves when the city was founded and its passed down through the family.

Erm.... guys... it's a game in which you're supposed to fight, not be a real estate broker. If you wanna be in the housing business, perhaps SimCity is more appropriate for you.

Don't say that, johnny, there's probably even some home decorating mod out there. Heck, it wouldn't surprise me at all if there was a mod that added five gay Dunmer who would visit your home and re-decorate it. And give you a make-over.

That wouldn't surprise me one bit, there's also a mod that allows you to visit hookers in Suran. Must have been one desperate dude who made that one.

The good part is, that after your visit, your endurance is increased. Must have been an allnighter.

So you tried it out then, Johnny? lol No - I'm sure you just read about the endurance on a forum somewhere, right? Anyway, that's all very well for you chaps, but is there a mod that adds shoe shops? A branch of Cartier wouldn't go amiss, either.
