I heard that if you stand up an egg on the Summer Solstice, today, it will balance and stay upright. Does this work? I just barely tried it, and then I had to clean up an eggy mess on the floor. It might be because it is nighttime, but I was just wondering if anyone has successfully done it before.

It doesn't matter whether it's nitetime or not, just remember to stand on one leg, put your left thumb up your nose and place the egg on the floor with your right hand while standing and you must keep your balance

Oh, you also need to have someone taking a picture of you while doing this or it won't work!

ummm let me go and try it, it is Winter Solstice here. Maybe if I lie the egg down it will stay lieing down?

And here's a 'my glass is half empty' thought - the nights are gonna start drawing in now! Prepare for winter!

The trick is to hard-boil it and then smack the fat end on the counter to flatten it. Only then will it work and it works any day of the year.

The very thought of it makes me shiver. Or maybe that is the air conditioning right next to me.
