Might I ask what your tactic was, I mean not using any lower resistance or clowds.
And how the hell did you get to him with a solo wizard on insane.
Now it's one thing to kill Firk with the right spells and all but doin all other stuff before that with just a wiz is truly a accomplishment..

memorize all the damaging spells I had, also, I had 8 potion of fire resistence. I got boots of speed by killing Bloodrenal Scalpe. (yes, I killed him, and escaped from Garth's one-hit-kill blade, you just got to do it fast)

in the beginning I tried to use instance death spell or feeblemind on him, then I eventually gave up, because his save is way too high. so i used all damage spells. I had 3 wand of lightings as well.

i think, if not mistaken.I had full magic missles, a sequencer with two magic missles, full acid arrows, full vampric touchs, two stone skin and then the rest is all damaging spells. I DID use cloud, however, not in the way of taking AI's advantage, I just attack and cast cloud, not hiding.

his magic resistence is 60%, it was A PAIN!

I beat Firkraag solo with a Kensai Mage on Insane. I was at a pretty high level though. Hint: with the right weapon, you can hit anything with -10 or higher AC and do 200+ points of damage in 2 rounds with kai.
