That's because there are some major spoilers in there I think. I don't know them all but:

SoU
-Dorna
-the orc, don't know what he's called anymore.
-Deekin

HotU
-Linu
-Deekin
-Valen

Take Deekin. He's absolutely hilarious throughout the game.

Xanos (in SoU) the halforc sorceror is a waste, and Dorna is only marginally better.

There are additional NPCS available in HoU as follows besides the ones Phillip mentions:

Tommy (yes that annoying halfling thief returns)
The female bard from the OC - can't remember her name
Nathyrra - a drow
Daelan the 1/2 orc fighter from the OC

Deekin is a kobold bard and he's really funny. The first time he shows up is in Bloomberg in SoU but you can't take him as henchman then yet. You'll encounter him later and then you'll be able to let him join.

The hottie Bard babe is named Sharwyn, and she's available (as a henchman, that is) in HotU. You'll find her early on.

Deekin is available in both SoU and HotU.
