How do you get more than 5 summoned creatures? (possible spoilers)

I know in ToB and SoA, you can't summon more than 5 creatures at one time. However, I've heard that some people have managed to summon a lot more than that. Ahem, Dundee.

So, how do you do it? Most of my characters, except for Imoen have managed to get HLAs so far, and I'm working my way through WK right now. When I hit the Imprisoned One, I'd like to take him out. Can someone help me?

You use spells like Project Image and Simulacrum. If a creature you summon summons creatures, it doesn't count against your limit.

Now that brings back memories. My Solo Sorcerer was just walking time bomb waiting to explode. Of course the fun really started in Chapter 2. Why? Well casting Time Stop in Chapter 2 can be fun. So Chapter 3 was HLA`s... then everything fallen.
Even with Tactics,Battels,Ascension all the "tough" battels were easy... 40+ Skeleton Warriors and about 20 Planetars really did a good job. [img]graemlins/evillaughter2.gif[/img]

Except for the fact that some of the planetars might be unsummoned by the time you get to 20, usually [img]smile.gif[/img] .

Three things ensure this doesn't happen:
Improved Alacrity
Amulet of Power
Robe of Vecna

So, if you cast Project Image, can your image case that same spell and so on, and so on? If you can and you have 5-6 or whatever images of yourself and they can all create Skeleton Warriors or Planetars, etc., until you have some massive army? Am I right, off my rocker? Hopefully the first because that would be too cool!

You have 5 slots of Animate Dead.

You have 4 slots of Project Image.

The minimum amount of Animate Dead you can have is therefore 4*5=20.

The actual equation is actually slightly more complex, but this should enlighten you on the matter.

Okay, I think I see what you're saying. I was a bit confused because on another post, someone said you had to kill your image before casting another one or something like that. Can you enlighten me?
