Well, I've done it again. My ship is stuck just beyond the old seadog's ship. I can't get it to turn either way or even back up. Now what do I do? Quit or swim? Also, I couldn't get the old man to tell me where his treasure map was. Did anyone ever find it on their own?

another stuck ship!!! OK what to do...swim out to sea and use create portal then go back on your ship and use teleport .If you dont have either of these use vanish but it's risky because it has a 50\50 chance of going out to sea you may get stuck on land.If you dont have any of these spells use the revert game spell or the old save game spell they always work!!!.

You're not the first one to do that, Storm Shadow. And you won't be the last, either.

A couple of ways you can un-stick yourself:

1. While on the ship, cast Vanish. You can vanish yourself into safe water.

2. Go away from the ship and create a portal. Then go on the ship and cast teleport. You should be moved.

3. Revert game back to the last time you left town. Then don't go on that part of the bay

4. Load a saved game from earlier. You do save early and save often, don't you?

In general, I find it faster to swim than to take the boat. The boat seems to speed up and slow down in the waves, which drives me nuts. That doesn't happen when you're swimming.

As for Talrik, if you listened to what he said, he offered to trade you the treasure map for something. Give him what he wants, and he'll give you the map.

And actually, the map doesn't really matter. You'll eventually find that treasure anyway, although the map does give you an easier way to find Collaseum.

Gday Stormshadow,
You cant extricate your ship the ways that chi master & Bungleau have said, or you can abandon it. The ship becomes very inconvenient once you have teleport & create portal moon magic. It is easier just to swim.
You dont need the treasure map. You will find the treasure near Collasium & there is no prize for telling Talric that you have found it.

Yes the ship is pretty much useless... Try running on the water instead. Itīs faster, itīs cheaper all in all itīs better! Call me Moses

Welcome to the board, Storm Shadow!!

Another advantage of swimming (though I do like the ship) is that you will have more opportunities to find crab shells!
