LOL Bungleau. You´ve really changed side! And if I´m quicker than Sabastio with my hands it´s no cheating in passsing the seed around so everyone can get a look ! And if tree surfing is "working the bugs" so is this, and the infinite gold bug.... Hmmm, we´ll never decide what´s cheating and what´s not lol .

Hey, now, Willow, I haven't changed sides! I still avoid cheating, but in the fairness of responding to LiOnHe@rT's question, I had to mention the cheat that's available in the unpatched game. Never know when he might want to give himself 6 assassins or something like that...
Getting closer to that replay game... I think a solo warrior may be it, to maximize the challenge. I play MM9 with an all-might party, and finished quite respectably. Have to see what I can do in WW with the same thought.

I think tree surfing is a legitimate way of travelling. It is like finding a secret door in a dungeon.

The trick I eventually found with tree-surfing was to go full-speed, all the time. If I tried to time the trees, accelerating only when needed, I got stuck. If I just kept going forward, no matter what it looked like, I eventually got a grip and moved.
'Twas frustrating, until I figured that out. After that, it was simple.

Tree surfing can be frustrating when you keep getting stuck. I make like a monkey & look up a bit & jump from tree to tree. Just keep 1 finger on the shift key 1 on the 8 & 1 on the 0.
When I do get to where I want to go I immediatly put a portal there. No point in going through all that again. |

I found I didn't need to jump. Just keep the party going forward, and they'll get across eventually.

Agreed. When I tried to treat tree-surfing like regular movement, it was very frustrating. I kept getting stuck in a variety of places.
When I just kept the forward key down, it eventually went forward, for reasons I couldn't explain then and still can't. What I know is that it was a lot less frustrating for me.... Try it when you're feeling less frustrated. And if it gets really bad, name one of the trees "Bungleau" and feel free to give me a few whacks.
