this topic is for us to discuss about the 3rd level classes, ie. zenmaster etc.
1. will zenmasters be able to learn spells from ALL the spell groups just like a warlock? 2. is it true that only 1 female character can be a valkyrie? 3. would ANYONE go through all the 2nd level (ie. ranger, paladin etc.) classes 1st b4 becoming a 3rd level class? i would...lolx If anyone has anything to discuss or can answer my questions, pls. reply ok?

K let´s see what I have to say. (Not much as usual LOL ). Well, the zenmaster differs from the warlock in that they can learn ALL spells, ALL classes! Warlock can learn sun, earth, moon anf fiend. THe Zenmaster adds vine and spirit making it the ultimate spellcaster. When you´re able to get a zenmaster teh vine an spirit may not be that interesting since another character or two will be specialized in these.
On to the Valkyrie then. I´ve only had a valkyrie once since the route to becoming one is pretty tedious. But I think you can have more than one in the same game... I never go through all the classes, paladin usually get left out from my spellcasters (read wizard) since I´ve got two or three characters who know spirit magic anyways... I only get one ranger as well since I find no use in having two characters with fletching. My fighters never become bards either. The closest thing to go through all classes is my wizards: wizard->bard->barbarian->samurai->ninja->warlock->(assassin)->zenmaster. This route gives him/her/them all spells and good fighting abilities (kung fu!) and the ability to wear armor at the end...

IMHO....the Zenmaster and Valkyrie classes...Are an open invitation, to...
...recycle your characters and play through a second game. They make a Great twosome!!! As Willow mentioned..a Zenmaster can learn All 6 schools of magic, so there's no need for a second spellcaster. As an added bounus...at 18th level Zenmaster, Bushi guild level 6, you can get 'Enlightenment' at the Dojo. Enlightenment adds 2 Full levels, to All skills.(... ..All the stuff, thats been stuck at 12...changes to 14) A Valkyrie...What can I say...She's Hell on Heels...All the warrior, you'll ever need and then some. If you passed on the chance to make her a Paladin, (in the first game) you can pick up 'Crusade' when she reaches level 5 in the preists guild. (it's only offered to Paladins and Valkyries) Crusade gives you Double XP for all undead creatures you slay. (skeletons, mummies and banshees, but Not vampires) Another plus to being a Valkyrie is...if you happened to get lucky and find the 'Lance of the Lady' in one of the last 2 chests...She is the Only one who can use it. BTW...It is true, that you can only Get one Valkyrie per game...But ...you can have more than one in the game. (if you play through, several times...I'm currently working on my 5th Valkyrie.. ..) I personaly didn't think the task involved in becoming a Valkyrie, was bad at all. Not when compaired to becoming a Zenmaster.

1. zenmaster is the only class to be able to learn all six schools of magic
2. only one character can be a valkyrie, unless you are playing unpatched in which case you can select other characters while the priest is talking and other characters can also role change too (including male characters) 3. up to you. there is no limit on role changing and the quests are so easy that i usually take my characters through 6 or more roles before reaching cet's temple |

Valkyries can learn spirit and stone magic, making them good healers and quite dangerous with magic.

A wizard guild quest? Yes the "open the shrine quest"! Since you need to go through the shrine to get the Treant seeds, you can´t open the shrine later since it´s already open lol. You must tree surf to the treants BEFORE you go through Anephas shrine.

Actually... *scratching head for a moment* ... doesn't Oakenmir call reinforcements periodically? So couldn't you attach Oakenmir to prompt him to call Bark Horrors, which you can then slay for their seeds?
When I get into my next game, I'll have to try that.
