Paladin Stronghold Problem *Spoilers*

My Cavalier rescued Iltha, and got all of the Paladin abilities again (despite not having fallen). However, Windspear doesn't tell me to talk to Sir Ryan Trawl, and when I try anyway nothing happens. There is also no Paladin Stronghold journal entry. I have ToB, most recent patch, TDD, Kelsey, and FlirtPack installed MODwise. Any ideas? Is there a global to set, or something?

No. I know better than that...I've done Paladin Stronghold once before.

Holy Avenger +5...but you already knew that...I think there was a post about this not too long ago...its called Windspear Bug or something along those lines...very abstract way of fixing the bug, haha

Edit: Oops, i forget to tell you what that method is..according to my main man pcgiant, you must attack his daughter and then speak to him. I know, I know...its crazy, but it might work for ya

Wait...no...DON'T KILL HIM. As a paladin, your responsibility is to rescue Garren's child. Retribution will come later when your stronghold tells you to do it.

I've tried looking up the "player has stronghold" variable, but I'm not having any luck. Can someone a bit more knowledgable on the subject give me some help? [img]smile.gif[/img]

I didn't kill Big Red. I loaded from a save I made right after rescueing Windspear's kid...I tried the attacking the child thing, then talking to Windspear. That worked. Weird, but the problem's resolved.

Well it's my first time through - and........

OK - I was at Umar Hills, but i poked my head in at the Windspear Hills rather than go straight to the temple ruins like Iwas told to. I got into a fight with some ogres and gnolls that turned out to be paladins. Some dude appeared and said I had better come with him. I got transported down to his cabin where there is him and this Iltha person. He talked for a while at the site of the attack before I got transported, but now he just repeats over and over about how distressed he is and that it needs to be sorted out.

I tried going in and out of the cabin and resting a couple of days, but no change to this dialogue. I decided that this wasn't very exciting so I cleared off out to the temple ruins and cleaned up. Even got 100,000 XP for Davros for pulling off the Jahiera romance . Now I am loaded with loot and I popped into the Docks to pay the quota master. I immediately got set upon by paladins of the radiant heart. Rather than kill them, I reloaded and went back to that dude's cabin, but he is as vexed as ever and still refusing to say anything to me.

I am guessing that I can probably sell all my loot in Trademeet without getting attacked, but that quotamaster is going to be pissed with me if I don't show my face in town sometine soon.

Damn I hate it when the triumphal return gets all screwed up . Any and all ideas from the experts are welcome.

So you didnt get the dailogue where he heads off to the radiant heart blah blah blah. Sounds like a variable got bumped too high or something. Quick fix - go talk to Jierdan. You'll find him in the north-east of this sector.

If you want to get all the dialogues, you could try using shadowkeeper to set the global variable 'Kidnap' to 0 - as near as I can tell by examining the dialogue files, its at 1 just now.
