Right one of my favourite song lyrics by "Taking Back Sunday" from the album "Tell All Your Friends"
"You're So Last Summer" She said "don't, don't let it go to your head Boys like you are a dime a dozen, Boys like you are a dime a dozen" She said "you're a touch overrated, you're a lush and I hate it but these grass stains on my knees they won't mean a thing" And all I (all I) Need to know (need to know) Is that I'm somethin you'll be missin (is that I'm somethin that you're missin) (maybe I should hate for this) Maybe I should hate you for this Never really did ever quite get that far (maybe I should hate for this) Maybe I should hate you for this Never really did ever quite get that... I'd never lie to you Unless I had to I'll do what I got to Unless I had to I'll do what I go to, the truth is you could slit my throat And with my one last gasping breath I'd apologize for bleedin on your shirt And all I (all I) Need to know (need to know) Is that I'm somethin you'll be missin (is that I'm somethin that you're missin) (maybe I should hate for this) Maybe I should hate you for this Never really did ever quite get that far (maybe I should hate for this) Maybe I should hate you for this Never really did ever quite get that... Cuase I'm a wishful thinker with the worst intentions This'll be last chance you get to drop my name Cuase I'm a wishful thinker with the worst intentions This'll be last chance you get to drop my name If I'm just bad news, then you're a liar (x8) |

Bloodhound Gang - I hope you die ...........
HILARIOUS LYRICS!!! ...You must die I alone am best! I hope ya flip some guy the bird, He cuts you off and you're forced to swerve, In front of the Beatles' tour bus, A Bookmobile and a Mack truck, Hauling hazardous biological waste, The light turns red you have no brakes, And "Hard Copy" gets it all on tape, So you can see the look on your face, ...Die Die Die Die Die Die Die!, ...Die Die Die Die Die Die Die!, I hope your Pinto begins to spin, Takes out a disabled Vietnam Veteran, Mows down a Nobel Peace Prize Winner, And maybe some orphans having Christmas dinner, Perhaps even the British Royal Family, And the Rabbi that's clutching the bottle-fed puppy, And we can't forget the newlyweds, And those Jerry's Kids are as good as dead, I hope this helps to emphasize, I hope this helps to clarify, I hope you die, I hope your cellmate thinks he's God, But C.N.N. refer to him as "Bowling Ball Bag Bob", Serving time again for abuse of a corpse, Only this time the victim's a Clydesdale horse, While he masturbates to photos of livestock, He does the "Silence of the Lambs" dance to Christian Rock, Eats feces and quotes from "Deliverance", And fights with his imaginary playmate Vince, ...Die Die Die Die Die Die Die!, ...Die Die Die Die Die Die Die!, I hope he grins like Jack Nicholson, And forces you to play a game called Balls On Chin, And whatever happens next is all a blur, But you remember "fist" can be a verb, And when you finally regain consciousness, You're bound and gagged in a wedding dress, And the prison guard looks the other way, 'Cause he's the guy ya flipped the bird the other day, I hope this helps to emphasize, I hope this helps to clarify, I hope you die, ...I hope you die!. |

Good choice Chewbacca, but when the lyrics are good enough, the music just jumps right into your head. Can't remember who posted it, but "Run to the Hills" jumped into my head on the Iron Maiden. My personal fav tho', is by Ronnie James Dio:
In the Palace of the Virgin Lies the Chalice of the Soul And it's likely you might find Your answer there. & The world is full of Kings and Queens That blind your eyes and steal your dreams It's Heaven and Hell & We pray to someone, And when it's said and done It's really all the same With just a different name

This may sound selfish (or self-promoting) but I really like my own lyrics best, because they resemble what I feel best. There are virtually no songs (for me) that do the same to me than my own lyrics.

One of my favorites.
Stairway to Heaven (Page-Plant) There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold And she's buying a stairway to heaven And when she gets there she knows if the stores are closed With a word she can get what she came for Woe oh oh oh oh oh And she's buying a stairway to heaven There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure And you know sometimes words have two meanings In the tree by the brook there's a songbird who sings Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven Woe oh oh oh oh oh And she's buying a stairway to heaven There's a feeling I get when I look to the west And my spirit is crying for leaving In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees And the voices of those who stand looking Woe oh oh oh oh oh And she's buying a stairway to heaven And it's whispered that soon, if we all call the tune Then the piper will lead us to reason And a new day will dawn for those who stand long And the forest will echo with laughter And it makes me wonder If there's a bustle in your hedgerow Don't be alarmed now It's just a spring clean for the May Queen Yes there are two paths you can go by but in the long run There's still time to change the road you're on Your head is humming and it won't go because you don't know The piper's calling you to join him Dear lady can't you hear the wind blow and did you know Your stairway lies on the whispering wind And as we wind on down the road Our shadows taller than our souls There walks a lady we all know Who shines white light and wants to show How everything still turns to gold And if you listen very hard The tune will come to you at last When all are one and one is all To be a rock and not to roll Woe oh oh oh oh oh And she's buying a stairway to heaven There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold And she's buying a stairway to heaven And when she gets there she knows if the stores are closed With a word she can get what she came for And she's buying a stairway to heaven, uh uh uh. Nirvana always have interesting lyrics, although sometimes a little uh, weird. One of my favourites, Paper Cuts:
At feeding time She pushed food through the door And I crawl towards the crack of light Sometimes I can't find my way Newspapers spread around Soaking all that they can A cleaning is due again A good hosing down The lady whom I feel maternal love for Cannot look me in the eyes But I see hers and they are blue And they cock and twist and masturbate I said so... I said so... I said so... Nirvana... Nirvana... Nirvana... Nirvana... Nirvana... Nirvana... Black windows of paint I scratched with my nails I see others just like me Why do they not try to escape? They bring out the older ones They point at my way They come with a flash of light And take my family away And very later I have learned To accept some friends of ridicule My whole existence is for your amusement And that is why I'm here with you! To take you with me You're right Nirvana... Nirvana... Nirvana... Nirvana... Nirvana... Nirvana... Nirvana... Nirvana... [ 05-22-2003, 01:42 PM: Message edited by: Nevaeh ] |
