i rather liked the fighter/mage dual class i played through the whole series...great fun, if vastly overpowered(twas the first tactics/ascension game i played). i also rather liked my assassin/mage solo(mostly). i would recommend some kind of combo, and make the stats realistic for "maximum role-playing pleasure" [img]smile.gif[/img]

My favourite is a ranger, but since you're screwed without magic or at least very high resists, the most playable and enjoyable together I have found is the Blade.
Magic annoys me big time. I don't mind priest spells, but I would love to see a game without mage spells. Bring the power back into arms combat. Sword fighting and bows n arrows are so cool, but sorcerers and mage types are pretty much invincible to the combat classes unless you have 100% magic resists. |
