I am making a gnome illusionist based on the wise man of Ling-Po from bagpuss episode 6. What alignment should he be? I was considering Lawful Neutral but reading the description it looks wrong. I need to decide quickly as my game is minimised and I can't start until I know. Pleeeeaassse help.

Errrrm. Lawful neutral seems wrong, but what kind of personality do you envision? Remember that an alignment harbours a lot of different personalities. There is a difference between a Vindictive Lawful Good paladin and a Benign Lawful Good paladin. One would hunt and kill the looters of a homestead and the other would help rebuilding it.

I want I kind of chinese wise man type character(who has a fondness for turtles). But its too late to worry about alignment now as I have already started as LN. It seems as good as anything.

The wise says: "You shall not doubt your decision once it is taken".
I would have gone TN in Yoshimo style.
