well, damit, i downloaded some therion and some night wish, liked the therion more, but the one i skipped was the only dutch one, ha. ironic. ok
well i'm digging the music actualy sung in a language other than mine. i found an interesting site called www.learningdutch.org its like an internet version of a school text book with links to recordings of the actual pronunciations. its pretty cool. i may learn something yet

quote: LOL, and rightly so, Slackerboy! I infinitely prefer Therion and Nightwish to Within Temptation. They've suddenly become quite popular in the netherlands but I can't see why - there are so many better bands in the genre. What did you get by Therion? To Mega Therion (cool name BTW) is one of my favourites, in fact the entire album (Theli) is good. I also loved A'arab Zaraq Lucid Dreaming, which was a movie soundtrack. The site about learning Dutch cannot be found... I'll try again later. But feel free to ask if there's anything I can help you with There's also a topic on Pandemonium for learning Dutch, BTW

I also got a few interesting nightwish songs
lothlorien the kinslayer beauty and the beast (2) and Stargazers i'm listinging to these now, they have a cool sound with the (not sure what to call it) gothic female choir sound as the lead vocal. i guess its really just a single singer but they make it sound like a choir. quote: Oooh, all those 'heim' ones are from the latest album which I haven't got yet. FWIW, my recommendations for both bands would be: Therion: To Mega Therion Desert of Set Opus Eclipse The Crowning Of Atlantis Clavicula Nox the entire "A'arab Zaraq" album Nightwish: Passion and the Opera (!!!!) Gethsemane Dead Boy's Poem She Is My Sin Devil & the Deep Dark Ocean Angels Fall First Tutankhamen Elvenpath It's absolutely GREAT to find more people who enjoy this sort of music!
