ALL HAIL ICQ, SUPREME RULER OF CHAT PROGRAMS!!!

C-NET rates it as the BEST, bar none. It has spent an unprecedented 197 weeks in their top ten, with most of that being number 1. (currently it's rank #2, behind an MP3 search engine)

Currently, it's ranked #3 on Tucows's all time list.

Anyone enlighten me, please: am I mistaken or not that ICQ is not like the other IMing programs but rather functions real-time like chats - your message appears at the receiver's end as you type. Right ?

Thank you very much for clearing that up for me, Sazerac !

Well, it is certain then that I will never use ICQ, conventional IMing is already too fast and spontaneous for my liking. I am also much too vain and too much of a perfectionist to use anything real-time.

*NOW* we've got mad dashes to type and click return before the other person, conversations full of half questions and answer, consantly interuppted by people being thrown offline by the menecing deamons that inhibit chat programs.....

Back to the present, and MSN is buggered again.
I still use it though....otherwise what would i complain about?

AMEN JEROME! AMEN! I agree with you all the way regarding email!
