I have a problem with BG2. Some asshat stole my E drive (the one I originally installed BG2 and ToB on).

"No problem" I think, "I will just use my DVD drive then". But BG2 won't let me. It asks me to put the appropriate CD into drive E (the one missing).

In BG1 I could solve this by editing Baldur.ini. What should I do with BG2?

I had a similar problem, the drive you use to install BG II - SoA/ToB on will be automaticly set to the primary cd drive for the BG cds, he will not let you use an other drive like D or C (in this case your Dvd drive).

I never really tested it, but you can:

1 - copy cd 2 (need this one to play) to your HD..
2 - Re-Install whole BG II and use your DVD drive to do so.

Otherwise...erm... ''screwed'' I think

Where in the hell does BG2 store the information about the primary CD drive?

It was in an .ini in BG1. It must be somewhere in BG2.

You could change your DVD-drive letter to E:.
