if your character is affected by maze spell'where do they go?

In thoery another dimension, but they will come back (eventually), unlike Imprisonment.

Length of time they are mazed depends on their intelligence. Also, if you are soloing, getting mazed is like getting imprisoned - there's no comeback.

Likewise with Spell Shield vs Abjuration
.
Funny thing about Maze is, if none of your other PCs in sight, enemy mage/lich sits there doing nothing until you return, allowing his defences to expire

For your PC (main character), YES you will need to reload; for NPC you can either reload or cast Freedom (also a level 9 mage spell).

To the Nudybar

It would explain why a partyless character would not return whiles one with party would (they feel guilty towards their party members also the smarter you are the sooner you feel guilty thus maze is over sooner)

Nice theory no?

I always envisioned them being in a giant hedge maze and thats why dumb guys like minsc take so long to get out.
