This is really cool. Basically, this red rain was in India and they took a sample of it. Their findings show a strange red-colored cell that on first attempt did not contain any DNA but is able to reproduce. They think that DNA is there, because with our limited knowledge if it does not have DNA, it cannot be alive...but it has been proven to reproduce, so they are trying to explain it. Some people think its dust or red blood cells but nothing on earth has so far explained this anomoly. They think that maybe these microbes were brought in by a comet or something and was added to the atmosphere, to be mixed with rain.

Oh yeah...this stuff can survive in water heated up to 600 degrees F.

So it seems that they could indeed be some sort of Alien bacteria? Interestingly enough tho it can reproduce without DNA I guess it just goes to show that we still have alot to learn.

When in doubt, ascribe it to aliens. Then cover the first statement when you better understand it

This is seriously cool though. It's not that they don't have DNA by the way, it's that they might not have it from the ones I've read. I only care about two things: is it actually alive, and how is it reproducing, specifically? The cell reproduction sections of freshman biology are gonna get a lot more complicated

In any case. I wanna see them budding.

Wait... I've seen this movie. That's it then, we're all going to die. If anyone needs me, I'll be under my bed with Mr. Jameson.

Do not worry, Illumina. If they're from space, they're harmless.

Then again, they might be some kind of biological weapon.
